Tsuki Matcha Bowl

The Tsuki matchawan (Japanese for "moon") is a traditional vessel for preparing and drinking matcha. It catches the eye with its irregular grooves and grey tone, reminiscent of the moon - hence its name. In Japan, there's even a festival dedicated to admiring the autumn moon called "Tsukimi". It almost always takes place in September, since that month is considered the best time for moon viewing. For the Japanese, Tsukimi is about more than just admiring the moon - it's also a special occasion for gathering and spending time with family and friends. During the festival, food known as "tsukimi ryori" plays an important role, alongside matcha tea.

It's believed that eating them during this time brings good fortune.
