Matchawan Seiran was created at Quiet Form studio in Kyiv - a workshop specialising in handcrafted porcelain pieces. Run by Tania and Alex, the studio has been creating ceramics inspired by nature and the changing seasons since 2016. With the chasen, we move through the bowl in strokes resembling the letter W or M. This helps blend the matcha with water into a smooth suspension, and a light layer of foam should form on the surface of the tea. The flexible bamboo bristles of the chasen make it possible to achieve the perfect froth.
