We are a company specializing in Japanese green teas, and we are currently looking for a person to build and manage the company's tea knowledge from sourcing, through quality and blending, to team education and customer experiences.

Main areas of responsibility:

1. Sourcing and Supplier Relations

• Identifying and establishing relationships with tea plantations and suppliers worldwide
• Negotiating purchase terms, sampling new harvests, evaluating offers

2. Quality Control

• Organoleptic evaluation of teas from each delivery and new harvest
• Supervising storage and transport conditions
• Maintaining internal quality standards and documentation

3. Blending

• Developing new blend recipes and single-origin teas for the brand's portfolio
• Ensuring consistency of flavors and aromas between batches
• Collaborating with the product and marketing departments on new product launches

4. Organizing Tastings and Degustations

• Planning and conducting tasting sessions
• Harvest tastings (first flush, second flush, autumn) for the team and B2B clients
• Maintaining a calendar of seasonal tea premieres and events

5. Team Education

• Building a tea culture within the organization
• Regular product training for employees and business partners
• Creating educational materials: tea cards, brewing guides, terroir descriptions
